Police officials, with the help of locals, push a CNG-run autorickshaw off the railway tracks in Gazipur's Chhoto Daura. A five-member team of police, along with a sub-inspector, were travelling on the CNG and while crossing the tracks, the three-wheeler was hit by the Dhaka-Kolkata Maitree Express. REPULSIVE... In the overcrowded Dhaka, the Hatirjheel project was supposed to be a respite for city dwellers. But in some cases, it is doing quite the opposite. Whenever passing by the lake, a pedestrian or commuter is bound to catch the stench it gives off near Sonargaon hotel because several drainage pipes empty into this lake.
