YSSE organises Bangladesh Youth Symposium at Primeasia University

Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) organised "Bangladesh Youth Symposium 2018" on August 16, 2018, at Primeasia University Auditorium. Entrepreneurs and specialists in this sector conducted sessions in this event. The main objective of this programme was to aspire students towards self-employment through social entrepreneurship and help the changemakers of this campus to come into light.

The event started with one-minute silence to mourn for the children killed in recent road accidents. The inauguration speech was given by the chief guest of the event, Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, VC of Primeasia University where he described that the entrepreneurial journey is never easy and the future entrepreneurs must well-equip themselves to succeed in this path. Niaz M. Patwary, Assistant Professor, School of Business, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, and Monsurul Aziz, Head of Enterprise Design, Toru Institute of Inclusive Innovation, delivered their speeches where they shared the insights about entrepreneurship, its future, and shared the process they need to follow to attain success in this sector.

Queen's Young Leaders Award winner Zaiba Tahyya, Founder and CEO at FEM - Female Empowerment Movement, and Hussain Elius, Co-founder & CEO of Pathao, shared their experiences as well.

At the evening, participants shared their innovative ideas in front of a jury and audience who were presented with gifts later on; the best ideas were awarded by the special guest of the event, John Armstrong, National Director at Habitat for Humanity International - Bangladesh. After handing over the prizes, he appreciated the initiative and talked about significance of social entrepreneurship to bring a bigger change in the society.

"Bangladesh Youth Symposium will be organised at 20 more institutions throughout the country with a view to encouraging more youths towards self-employment initiatives and thus making a big impact into society through the inclusive efforts," said the Founder and President of YSSE, Yousuf Hossain.
