Locals have recently re-discovered a mosque, believed to be about 500 years old, in the bushes of Chhotosundanr village in Chandpur. It is presumed that the mosque, around nine feet long and seven feet wide, was built with lime, sand and powdered bricks. The exit gate of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Building 2 is almost blocked by makeshift shops. The gate has remained closed for more than six months, and even if it opens, the movement of emergency vehicles will be heavily obstructed by these unauthorised shops built on the footpath and the road.
