‘Proper treatment of Khaleda not possible by pro-ruling party doctors’
BNP today expressed its doubt over the proper treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia by the medical team formed by “’pro-ruling party doctors”.
While addressing a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan office in Dhaka, the party’s Standing Committee Member Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain urged the government to ensure proper treatment of Khaleda by forming a medical board with the doctors chosen by her.
A newly formed five-member medical team yesterday examined Khaleda Zia at the Old Dhaka Central Jail on Nazimuddin Road and it is supposed to give its recommendations today.
The government on Thursday formed the medical team led by Prof Abdul Jalil Chowdhury of internal medicine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Over the visit of the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam at the United Nations, Mosharraf said his visit made the ruling party men frustrated.
