'Evanescence'underway at EMK Center

Artist Farhana Yasmin's solo art exhibition Evanescence began at EMK center on October 14.

Dr Rashid Amin, Associate Professor of The Department of Fine Arts atJagannath University Dhaka, M M Haikal Hashmi, Deputy Chief Officer and Chief Risk Officer, IFIC Bank and Director of EMK Center, Naveed Akbar were present during the inauguration programme.

“I had very little time to put up the show, but with the support from everyone we put forward this exhibition for you,” said Farhana Yasmin during her speech.

This exhibition marks the third solo work by Farhana. To her, artwork has a secret life of its own. She likes playing with space and contrast the solid with the ephemeral.

The exhibition will continue till October 27.
