Week-long solo exhibition of Shoumen Das opens

A week-long solo painting exhibition by Professor Shoumen Das was inaugurated at the auditorium of Alliance Francaise de Chittagong recently.

The exhibition is showcasing around 24 pieces of artworks by the painter through which the artiste tried to portray his thoughts on different subjects.

Dr Anupam Sen, Vice-Chancellor of Premier University Chittagong inaugurated the event. He exclaimed highly about the use of colour by the artiste.

“The paintings of Shoumen are very colourful and the use of impressionism in his work is very vivid,” said the professor.

The painter used synthetic enamel, acrylic and press ink as media for creating the pieces. The exhibition will remain open from 4 pm to 8 pm everyday till November 1.
