BNP announces nationwide programme to mark ‘Solidarity Day’

BNP has announced a two-day countrywide programme to mark “National Revolution and Solidarity Day” on November 7.

The programme will begin by hoisting the national flag at all the BNP offices countrywide including the central office, BNP's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced at a press conference at BNP’s headquarters in Nayapaltan today.

Floral wreaths will be placed at the grave of late president Ziaur Rahman, founder of the party, on the same day at 10:00 am at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. Special prayers will also be offered at the grave later, reads a press release issued in this regard.

On November 8, a discussion meeting will be held at Ramna Engineer’s Institution’s auditorium, the press release said adding that several such meetings will also be held at different places across the country.

The press conference came after a joint meeting led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir took place at the office where many BNP leaders including members of the standing committee took part.
