Kohli suffers backlash
India cricketer Virat Kohli found himself caught in a media frenzy over a video where he bashed a fan for saying that he likes English and Australian batsmen more than the current Indian batsmen.
“He (Kohli) is an overrated batsman. Nothing seems special in his batting. I enjoy English and Australia batsmen more than these Indians,” the fan wrote. Kohli suggested that the fan leave India and told him to get his priorities right in a video he recorded as part of the promotions for a new app named the 'Virat Kohli app'.
Is #Kohli asking his non-Indian fans to leave their country and come to India.. Or to sort their priorities? #WTF pic.twitter.com/tRAX4QbuZI H (@Hramblings) November 6, 2018
Twitter reacted to Kohli's video with one account reminding him that it was not up to Kohli to tell a citizen to leave the country.
“If you are too ashamed to marry in India then you should leave India... you anti-national. It seems that the BJP MLA was only using your logic gates when he called you out,” a fan wrote on twitter.
