Sabyasachi Chakrabarty to star in Bangladeshi film

Indian actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty will star in a Bangladeshi film titled Gondi, directed by Bangladeshi filmmaker Fakhrul Arefeen Khan. The director is currently staying in Kolkata for casting Sabyasachi Chakrabarty. The shooting starts on March 26 at Cox's Bazar. He will play a character named 'Khorshed', who is a middle-aged man suffering from loneliness after his children migrate abroad.

The director informed The Daily Star from Kolkata that the renowned actor will be a perfect fit for the film's story. “Artistes from Bangladesh, who have also starred in the film, did a brilliant job,” says Fakhrul. Gondi will also star Suborna Mustafa, Aparna Ghosh and Maznun Mizan, among others. The cast shot the film in London. The script of the film is written by Reza Arif.

Sabyasachi Chakrabarty is equally popular in Bangladesh as he is in Kolkata. The last Bangladeshi film he worked on was Camp, directed by Afsana Mimi. However, the film was never released.
