On 21 January, 2019, WINGS (a support group for women) celebrated its 5th Foundation Day event, with all its members at House-27, Road-11, Baridhara, Dhaka. The president, Tootli Rahman, gave an overall view of all the events held in 2018.

This celebration also highlighted the Angels, young girls and women, who are sponsored every year by WINGS. Under the guidance of Dr Shanaz Huda, and Nilu Murshed, they have sponsored 10 girls from underprivileged backgrounds from the Law Department of Dhaka University. Khurshida Rahman also sponsored 10 more underprivileged, less fortunate girls of the university. The funds originated from Abinta Foundation. The sponsored students wore flower wreaths, and handed over the necessary funds to complete their education.

Certificate of recognitions were given to the hard working members of the organisation.

The AGM ended the celebration with a vote of thanks, followed by a very sumptuous high tea, organised and sponsored by the director of WINGS, Shaela Banu.
