Newborn found at DMCH bathroom dies

The newborn girl who was found at a bathroom of Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday, has died.
The baby girl died around 8:00pm today while undergoing treatment at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of DMCH, our staff correspondent reports quoting Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of the police outpost at the hospital.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The identities of the infant and its parents could not be known yet. The body has been sent to DMC morgue for autopsy, the SI also said.
A woman first saw the baby girl inside a bathroom of ward No.2 of the DMCH building-2 around 6:45am yesterday and informed the hospital authorities.
Informed by the DMCH authorities, a team of police rushed to the hospital and rescued the girl, weighed 800 grams only.
