Don’t hike gas prices: Dr Kamal

Gonoforum President Dr Kamal Hossain has demanded that authorities drop the proposal of hiking gas prices.

Terming the proposal illogical, he said the move will increase the cost of living for the public and that it will hinder production and development.

“This will impact industries, daily essential commodities and even the transportation sector,” he said in a statement issued today.

He said, the hike is being proposed for the benefit of LNG businessmen and warned that strong movement will be waged if the hike is implemented.
