No exams upto class III from this year

Education ministry’s decision to scrap examinations upto class III will be implemented from this year, Secretary of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry Akram-Al-Hossain said today.

The secretary made the comment while replying to a query in a press briefing arranged for the publication of Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinations held in 2018, reports BSS.

Although there will not be any examination in classes I, II and III, the students will be promoted to the next class after an evaluation process, he said.

Starting from class IV students will sit for examination, he added.

The secretary also said that, a nationwide drive is going on against coaching centres. The concerned authorities are taking actions through mobile courts.
