Madrid set to offer 280m Euros for Mbappe?
Real Madrid are set to offer 280 million Euros for French talent Kylian Mbppe, France Football reported.
Madrid president had previously cited that they would like to sign both Neymar and Mbappe after Zinedine Zidane returned to the Bernabeu for his second managerial stint with the club. According to France Football, Zidane has singled out the 20-year-old forward as the player to reinforce the squad as he looks towards planning the 2019/20 campaign.
Zidane has the man-management nous and has seen Madrid suffer in both the league and the Champions League recently due to not being able to find the net. The team struggled in terms of goal-scoring with no one able to take up Cristiano Ronaldo’s mantle.
Zidane has consistently avoided talking about Mbappe following his return to Madrid. “It's not the time to discuss this and I'm not here to make a shopping list of players, my objective is to finish the season well,” he had said.
With PSG once again failing to make it through to the late-stage of the Champions League this season, Mbappe may well be keen on a move himself. According to a report by Le Journal du Dimanche, a relative of the player recently said that the player sees himself playing for Madrid one day. If Florentino Perez manages to get the signing he needs, perhaps Real can once again challenge for important trophies after they crashed out of all three titles in the space of a week this season.
