Bus catches fire near Bashundhara gate

A passenger bus caught fire near the gates of Bashundhara Residential this evening.

Preliminary reports suggest that no one was injured in the incident that took place around 8:30pm and covered the area in gusts of smoke.

Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters said, it was a bus of Nur-e-Makkah Paribahan that caught fire from engine overheating.

Two firefighting units reached the spot and doused the flames.
