Nusrat murder: Another accused remanded
Shahadat Hossain Shamim, an accused in madrasa student Nusrat murder case, was placed on a three-day remand by a Feni court today.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Sharafuddin passed the order after Shahadat was produced before the court with a five-day remand prayer, said PBI Inspector Md Shah Alam, also investigating officer of the murder case.
PBI arrested Shahadat Hossain Shamim from Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh district on April 13. He is the number three accused in the Nusrat murder case.
Shamim confessed to his involvement in the killing on April 14 before the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Zakir Hossain.
WHAT HAPPENED TO NUSRAT?
After fighting for her life for five days, Nusrat succumbed to her injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the capital on April 10.
On April 6, she was set afire at an examination centre of Alim examination allegedly by students loyal to Principal Siraj Ud Doula of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa after he was arrested and subsequently suspended as Rafi had accused him of sexually harassing her.
