Hindu temples vandalised in Madaripur
Criminals have attacked and vandalised two Hindu temples in Madaripur Sadar.
The temples are Joyjar Radhagobinda and Kali Temple and Kundupara Kali Temple in Joyjar village of Sadar upazila, our Faridpur correspondent reports quoting authorities.
Two idols of Kali and Roska Chandi were found desecrated around 6:00am, Ram Gopal Sorkar, president of Joyjar Radhagobinda and Kali Temple Committee, said.
Meanwhile, at Kundupara Kali Temple, criminals desecrated the idols of Kali and Shiva, said Gonesh Kundu, president of the temple management committee, said,
“Our temple is under construction and there were no doors or windows. Criminals have desecrated the idols and looted money and some other things from the temple,” he said.
Sirazul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said, “I visited those temples this morning. We are trying to find out the criminals who committed the crime.”
