Indigenous woman murdered in Dinajpur

A woman of indigenous community was found murdered in Biral upazila of Dinajpur today.

The deceased was identified as Sumitra Mardi, 25, wife of Bista Mardi of Moheshshibpur village in the upazila, reports our local correspondent.

Locals found the body in a cornfield this morning. Police recovered the body and sent it to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

ATM Golam Rasul, officer-in-charge of Biral Police Station, said that police found torture marks on her body.

Police believes, the woman was killed somewhere else and then dumped in the cornfield.
