Shilpacharya’s death anniversary observed at his hometown

Mymensingh Bibhagiyo Charushilpi Parshad, a forum for young artists, organised a painting competition for children in Mymensingh yesterday, marking the 43rd death anniversary of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin.

Around 70 children from different educational institutions gathered at Shilpacharya Zainul Park on the bank of the Brahmaputra River. The competition was judged by artists Joyanto Kumar Mondol and Biswajit Karmaker Tapu. Artist Mohammad Rajon, convener of the event, delivered the welcome speech, while its member secretary Goutam Kumar Debnath anchored it.

At the end of the competition, the guests distributed prizes among the 14 winners. Certificates were also presented to all the participants of the competition.
