Death toll in Cox’s Bazar fishing trawler capsize reaches 10
Bodies of three fishermen were recovered from Cox’s Bazar sea beach today, raising the death toll in fishing trawler capsize to ten.
The bodies were found at Hoanak, Himchhari and estuary points in Maheshkhali, our Cox’s Bazar correspondent reports quoting Farid Uddin Khandkar, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
On Wednesday, bodies of six fishermen were found near the Seagull Point after a fishing trawler capsized in the Bay of Bengal in inclement weather. Two more fishermen were rescued alive at the same time, police said.
