Finance Fest 2019: A celebration of infinite togetherness

Dhaka University's Department of Finance again celebrated their signature event Finance Fest. The program is held every two years to increase communication between alumni, teachers and staff, and students of the department, according to a press release.

This year the program was held on July 13 at the TSC auditorium and was coordinated by the current students of the department with support of teachers.

Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, Dean of Faculty of Business Studies graced the program as the chief guest while Professor Shabbir Admad, Chairman of Department of Finance, was the special guest.

The program included publishing this year's magazine "Finance 360°" which contained write-ups of students about the trends and new ideas of business and showcased the achievements of the department. Prizes were handed over to the winners of "Competition Phase" which was held on July 3 and 4. The competition segment included 11 segments including singing, drama, dance, recitation, making of handicrafts, stand-up comedy, photography exhibition and graphic designing, according to the press release.

The programme came to an end with a tribute to one of the most celebrated singers of the country, the Late Ayub Bacchu.
