Bangla Devs: An online platform for software development courses

Amidst several learning platforms on software skill development currently available, Bangla Devs provides a unique learning experience for its users.

Starting out as a way to help students learn through visual aids, the platform began its operation by offering courses that included training of Adobe Photoshop, HTML, Bootstrap, WordPress and PHP.

The website is specifically designed to cater to Bangladeshi students, so, all the instructions are available in Bangla. Trained instructors provide detailed video classes for each day that can be accessed by registering through the site. The website is user-friendly and simple enough to navigate.

The site currently offers six courses which include: Premium PHP Template Design, WooCommerce Theme Development, SASS Bootstrap 4 with PSD to HTML, Premium WordPress Theme Development among others.

Nasir Uddin, founder of Bangla Devs, spoke about how he came up with the idea for this site.

“When I was studying in my first semester as an engineering student, I realised that I’m studying a lot of theory but I wasn’t being exposed to a lot of practical applications of those theories. I believe that human memory develops through visual simulations. That’s how I decided to make Bangla Devs. I wanted to give a chance to everyone to get a more detailed understanding of what they are learning as software engineers. All of our courses are in Bangla for now, but we’ve already received student registrations from countries like India and Indonesia. We are hopeful about adding more courses very soon and do our best to make our platform grow and reach more students,” he said.

The website is host to multiple instructors, all of whom are well trained and enthusiastic about teaching their particular courses. Online classrooms have showcased just how easy it can be to bridge the gap between instructors and students, and Bangla Devs follows down this same road.

Selim Rana, front end online course moderator at Bangla Devs said, “Online courses are very popular right now because students can do them without having to step out of the house. While there are a lot of other Bangla courses available on the internet, our website is slightly different because students get help regarding live projects after they are done with their course. This helps students gain some real-life experiences as well. Most of the students we’ve taught so far have gone on to do well in freelancing jobs. We are always trying to help our students achieve their fullest potential.”

There are a great many opportunities for people with such technical skills in the current market, mostly in terms of freelancing. What Bangla Devs has created, is a platform that will include even more people into this thriving market, as language barriers might have been an issue for a large number of people, mostly here in Bangladesh.
