A class-III madrasa girl was raped allegedly by an office assistant of her madrasa in Nandigram upazila of Bogura today.

Hearing the incident, locals caught alleged the rapist Alamgir Hossain Bablu,45, and handed him over to police after a good beating around 12:30 pm, said Shawkat Kabir, officer-in-charge of Nandigram Police Station.

The accused was identified as Bablu,45, an office assistant of the Majhgram MA senior Fazil Degree Madrasa, our Bogura correspondent reports quoting the OC.

In primary interrogation, Bablu confessed to the crime, said the police official.

The victim will be sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura for her medical test, he added.
