Ramna DC’s son ‘commits suicide’

A second-year college student has reportedly committed suicide with his father’s licensed gun at Azimpur Government Staff Quarter in Dhaka, police said.

The deceased Siddique Bin Sazzad, 18, a second-grader of Dhaka City College, was son of Sazzadur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Ramna zone, KM Ashraf Uddin, officer-in-charge of Lalbagh Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The police official said they suspected that Sazzad might have been committed suicide with his father’s licensed gun.

On information, police recovered the body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he said. The law enforcers also recovered a suicide note with the body, the OC added.

Quoting the family members, he said the boy had been suffering from dissatisfaction since long.
