Saifuddin ruled out of India tour
Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin has been ruled out of the T20 series in India, a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) press release said today.
Saifuddin had been suffering from this injury for a while and faced problems during the World Cup, when he sat out the game against Australia due to back injury. He was then ruled out of Bangladesh's tour of Sri Lanka due to the same injury. "Multiple scans have suggested that the player's recovery would take more time. He will continue with his rehab and will be monitored by the BCB's medical team," BCB press release read.
"Due to a reoccurring back injury Shaif [Saifudiin] will be rested from the India tour this year giving him an opportunity to consolidate his recovery over a longer period of time. He now will also have the opportunity to spend more time strengthening his body and his situation will be reviewed by the medical team again in the upcoming weeks for further updates," Bangladesh team's Physiotherapist Julian Calefato said.
