National Classical Festival held in Mymensingh

Renowned classical maestros of the country performed at the ‘3rd National Classical Festival’ held at Mymensingh Zila Shilpakala Academy auditorium recently. The two-day long festival concluded in October 26.   

The festival began with a chorus performed by local artistes, followed by classical maestros coming from different regions of the country. An enthralling session of melody entertained a packed auditorium of classical music enthusiasts.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid inaugurated the classical show as chief guest on Friday afternoon. Classical maestro Sunil Kumar Dhar, tabla maestro Ustad Pabitra Mohan Dey, Arindam Bhattacharya, among others, were present at the inaugural session.

Deputy commissioner of Mymensingh Md Mizanur Rahman was in the chair. Arzu Parves, district cultural officer in Mymensingh, delivered the welcome speech.
