AIUB holds Virtual Reality Conference 2019

American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) held the first-ever Virtual Reality Conference (VR CON) in Bangladesh that focused on introducing the youth to the technology. The two-day long event was held December 6, 2019, organised by Bangladesh Innovation Forum.

Prof. Dr. Sazzad Hossain, Member, University Grant Commission (UGC) was the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony. He said, "Virtual reality and augmented reality are wonders in the digital world. The whole world is excited about it. I hope that this initiative will inspire people to know more about the technologies."

Abdul Hye, Project Director, Skill Development for Mobile Game & Application, Ministry of ICT, was the special guest of the inauguration ceremony, while Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, VC, AIUB was the programme chair.

There were approximately ten technical seminars on augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and gaming at the event and workshops on VR Game with Unity, VR Pipeline and Augmented Reality applications. Moreover, a project display of the institutions who work with VR and AR gaming was also part of the programme. Live to Web was the Live Streaming Partner; Techshohor.com was the Media Partner; and E-Soft was the E-Ticket Partner for the conference. Impressive VR and Bangla Puzzle also supported the event.
