Dreamliner Achin Pakhi lands at Dhaka airport
Biman Bangladesh Airlines’s brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner “Achin Pakhi” reached Dhaka this evening.
The new aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:20pm today, the release said.
“Achin Pakhi” left Boeing's Everett Delivery Centre in Seattle at 2.30pm (local time) on Monday after the Boeing authorities handed it over to a Bangladesh delegation, according to a press release of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry.
“Achin Pakhi” has 298 seats including 30 business class, 21 premium economic class and 247 economic class.
On November 17, Biman and the US aircraft manufacturer announced at the Dubai Airshow that Biman bought two 787-9 Dreamliners.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was at the airshow, named the planes “Sonar Tori” and “Achin Pakhi.”
Meanwhile, the first Dreamliner ‘Sonar Tori’ reached Dhaka from Seattle, the USA on December 21.
