Father-son steals $41,000 worth of chicken wings
A father and son duo from Syracuse area are facing hot, hot charges of grand larceny and falsifying business records after being accused of stealing approximately $41,000 worth of chicken wings.
Paul,56 and Joshua,33 Rojek were both employed as cooks at the Twin Trees Two restaurant.
The pair allegedly billed large orders of wings to the restaurant's business account and would sell them to other establishments and on the street at reduced prices, reports Mashable.
The scheme definitely falls between "medium" to "hot and honey BBQ" on the scale of criminal ingenuity.
According to Syracuse.com, the Rojek's would destroy evidence of the large orders. The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office believes the father and son were selling the stolen wings from the months of February to November 2015.
On November 24, a judge set the Rojek's bail at a mild $2,500.
