Categorized as suggested by the title, the pieces cover Dr. Alam's critical take on a wide range of cultural and historical subjects. The personal section includes musings on Dr. Alam's Nana Bari, his introduction to Rabindra Sangeet through his father, and his memories during the Liberation War, teaching at DU through moments of peace and political upheaval, and a year that he spent in Australia.
