Nine members of fire service and civil defence, including a deputy assistant director, have so far tested Covid-19 positive.

Of them, seven are form Sadarghat Fire Station while two others including the officer are from Postogola Fire Station, said Ershad Hossain, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

Some others have gone for tests and are waiting for reports, another official said adding all the infected and suspects have doused fires recently in different city areas.

The infected were kept in home and institutional isolation and quarantine, fire officials said.
