Bank Asia provides free rice reaper machines to farmers

Bank Asia has distributed free reaping (harvesting) machines to farmers to support them in overcoming the labor crisis during the coronavirus pandemic.

The money was raised from donations from the bank's officials, according to a press release sent to media.

A total of six machines were distributed among the farmers of Rajshahi and Naogaon districts April 30 at Mondumala of Rajshahi.

Each machine will be able to harvest crops of three bighas of land in hour.

Sushanto Kumar Mahato, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Tanor Upazila, Abdullah Al Mamun, UNO of Naogaon Sadar Upazila, Ekram Hossain, manager of Bank Asia's Rajshahi Branch and Firoz Kabir, manager of Bank Asia's Mohadevpur Branch were present during the program.
