Elderly woman with coronavirus symptoms dies at isolation ward in KMCH

An elderly woman died at the isolation ward of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) with coronavirus symptoms early today.

The 65-year-old woman breathed her last at the hospital around 4:00am, said Dr Shailandranath Bishwas, spokesperson for the KMCH coronavirus unit.  

The woman from Tutpara area of Khulna city was admitted at KMCH around 9:00pm last night, as she was suffering from various health complexities, including fever, sore throat, kidney issues and diabetes, the doctor added.

The hospital authorities have already conducted a Covid-19 test on the samples collected from the deceased, said he said.

The test results will come in this afternoon, the spokesperson added.
