3 with Covid-19 symptoms die at Khulna Medical College Hospital

Three people, including a minor, died with coronavirus-like symptoms at Khulna Medical College Hospital early today.

Deceased Delwar Hossain (65) and Meem (12) were from Khulna city, and Ripon (22) was from Patkelghata of Satkhira.

Dr Mizanur Rahman, focal person at flu corner of Khulna Medical College Hospital, said that the three died between 12:00am and 6:00am today.

Delwar took admission -- with coronavirus-like symptoms -- at a ward of the hospital yesterday morning, the physician said.

Later he was shifted to the flu corner when his condition deteriorated, he added.

Meem, daughter of Rajib Hossain, a resident of Daulatpur, was admitted to the hospital around 11:00pm last night.

Suffering from fever and cough she died around 5:30am today, Dr Mizanur said.

Ripon who suffered from fever and cough was admitted to the hospital two days ago. He died at the flu corner while receiving treatment, he added.

Their samples have been collected for coronavirus test.
