Education minister inaugurates textbook distribution

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid inaugurated textbooks distribution programme among students today.

This programme was in line with the government's promise to ensure a globally accreditable standard of education for the citizens of Bangladesh.

"In order to build the new generation with modern education and technological knowledge, we want to ensure globally accreditable standard of education," Nahid made the statement at Government Laboratory High School ground in Dhaka this morning.

Citing success in the education sector, Nahid called upon the teachers and guardians of students to do whatever necessary to shape the young minds as a patriotic, sincere and disciplined generation to compete with the world.

After ending his speech, the education minister handed over textbooks among the students and shared his best wishes.

Nahid released balloons to bring the programme to a close.
