IUB to hold webinar on regional importance of Bay of Bengal
The Bay of Bengal Institute Project at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) is going to implement four webinars.
The very first webinar will take place on September 15 on the topic of 'Increasing political, ecological, economic and regional importance of the Bay of Bengal for Bangladesh in the post Covid-19 world'.
The webinar will be broadcast LIVE on The Daily Star and Prothom Alo Digital platforms along with IUB Facebook page.
Dr Gowher Rizvi, advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on International Relation Affairs will be present as the chief guest of the Webinar. Masud Bin Momen, Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh will present his keynote paper. M Shahidul Islam, Secretary General, BIMSTEC and ITO Naoki, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh will attend the program as special guests.
Among the Speakers, Admiral (Rted) Nizamuddin Ahmed, NBP, OSP, BGCM, ndc psc, Chairman, BIMRAD; Professor Mustafizur Rahman, distinguished fellow, Centre for Dialogue; A Matin Chowdhury, Chairman, Board of Trustees, IUB; Professor Milan Pagon, Vice Chancellor (Acting), IUB and Professor Imtiaz A. Hussain, Dean (Acting), SLASS, IUB will discuss on various issues.
Ambassador (Ret) Tariq A Karim, Senior Fellow, Bay of Bengal Institute Project, IUB will moderate the entire program.
