Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi national from Sharifpur frontier under Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district on Sunday night.

The victim is Hira Miah, 60, son of late Arjan Miah of Morajan village under Kamalganj upazila of the district.

A Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) official said the Indian border guards arrested the man as he mistakenly reached near the zero line.

BGB Chatlapur Company Commander Daimul Islam said, "We inquired about the incident and asked BSF to return the man immediately."
