Five months of being closed due to the coronavirus has changed a lot of things about Rupnagar’s Islamia Government Primary School. Taking advantage of the closure, authorities have decided to erect a new premise, works for which are going at what used to be the school’s playground. Students who live nearby used to play here, and they still come to play amid all the construction materials and ditches. As ife returns to normalcy across the country after months of stagnation, people are also beginning to ignore instructions issued by the government to stay safe from the novel coronavirus. To raise awareness about following Covid-19 health guidelines particularly in public places and transportation, Barishal Metropolitan Police pasted stickers on to vehicles moving across the city yesterday.
