Freedom fighters form human chain in Noakhali demanding expulsion of Quader Mirza

Freedom fighters held a human chain protesting the attack on Companiganj Awami League president and former deputy commander Khizir Hayat by municipality mayor Abdul Quader Mirza.

They also demanded Mirza's permanent expulsion from the party at the human chain held in front of Noakhali's Maijdi Town Hall under the banner of freedom fighters yesterday.

At the Musapur union parishad chairman's office, freedom fighters of Musapur union of Companiganj upazila have demanded the permanent expulsion of Quader Mirza from the party at a protest meeting.

Earlier on Monday, mayor of Basurhat municipality Abdul Quader Mirza, allegedly led a mob beating of Companiganj Upazila Awami League president Khizir Hayat Khan. As he was alone in the party office Mirza at first pulled him by the collar, harassed and started beating him, Khizir said.
