BNP chief Khaleda's press secretary relieved from post
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel was relieved from his post.
Party's central office secretary Emran Saleh Prince told The Daily Star that the party's high command instructed him to issue a letter in this regard and he issued the letter relieving Sohel from the post.
"I issued the letter and it was sent to party Chairperson's Gulshan office," Prince said.
Party sources said Sohel was apparently inactive in party activities since 2018 and that's why the party's Standing Committee took such decision.
Sohel served as press secretary to Khaleda since 2009.
Earlier from 2001-2006 when BNP led four party alliance was in power, he served as the then Prime Minister's deputy press secretary.
