Mahbub Alam, also known as Mahbub Lee, has made a name for himself in the South Korean film industry. His journey showcases hard work and perseverance.

According to several media reports, Mahbub, who was born and brought up in Bangladesh, was a student of the Government Tolaram College in Narayanganj, before he migrated to South Korea in 1999, in search of work. The garment factory that he worked in had extremely poor working conditions.

According to a BBC interview, Mahbub joined trade unions in South Korea to raise awareness among migrant workers about their rights. When the media wasn't paying attention to any of it, Mahbub took matters into his own hands.  He made a short film, aiming to expose the hazardous working conditions of factory workers.

Later, owing to his interest in the film industry, Mahbub debuted as an actor in the short film, "The Road of Revenge". He gained praise for his role in the South Korean film, "Bandhobi" as well.

Today, Mahbub is a successful actor in South Korea. He has worked in films such as "My Friend and His Wife", "Where is Ronny", "The City of Crane", "Pained", "You are my Vampire", "Perfect Proposal", "Asura: the City of Madness" and "Love in Korea" among others. He has also worked on several TV shows and advertisements.

Mahbub is also the CEO of a South Korean production and distribution company, M and M International. He is serving as the director of the Bangladesh Cultural Association in South Korea.

Mahbub faced death threats in South Korea, because of the colour of his skin, he continues to get very few acting opportunities, despite receiving several accolades in his career. The actor is keen on making his presence known in films, and works tirelessly to achieve his goals.
