A helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force takes off from a helipad in Bandarban’s Alikodom upazila yesterday to aerially plant seeds of 30 endangered trees, including Champa, Chapalish, Jarul, Gutgutia, Boyara and Haritki, in Sangu and Matamuhuri reserve forests. The Department of Forest has taken the initiative to plant five lakh seeds in these forests where the number of trees has dropped over the years.
