Bangladeshi among finalists of global science communication contest
The names of the ten international finalists of 'FameLab Climate Change Communicators' were announced today by the British Council, and Arka Chakraborty, a student of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, is one of them.
The finalists will compete in the upcoming 'FameLab Climate Change Communicators Online Final', according to a press release of the British Council.
The ten shortlisted finalists have been selected by the adjudicators based on video entrants -- a three-minute video talk on the theme of 'Trust in Climate Science' from around the world. The video entries focused on myriads of climate science topics to tackle the climate crisis, ranging from clean energy to coral reef preservation.
The finalists will now participate in online training and networking activities, including a two-day online masterclass with Wendy Sadler, a leading science communicator, to hone their skills ahead of the final.
