A woman tried to commit suicide as she was not allowed to meet Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan. The incident took place in Bakurgram of Madarganj upazila, next to which the actor is filming the government-granted movie, "Golui".

Every day, thousands of people come to the shooting spot, hoping to catch a glimpse of Shakib Khan. Two days ago, after not being able to see the superstar, a woman got into a squabble with her husband, and tried to commit suicide. This event has caused quite a stir in the locality.

Shakib Khan, in a phone conversation with The Daily Star, said that he felt sorry after hearing about the incident yesterday.

"I have told the local administrators here to bring people to our shooting set. Thousands of people come to our set every day. So many people love me, and I am working for them. I want to spend time with them," he shared.

"I have shot for three movies amid the pandemic, out of my love for my fans and for my work. I respect people's love for me, and hope to continue doing good films," added the actor.
