Ferdous on playing SP Shamsul Haque in ‘Dampara’

Ferdous is set to star in a movie based on true events, titled "Dampara". The popular actor will be seen opposite Bhabna in Shuddhaman Choiton's debut feature film.

Ferdous will play the role of the brave officer, SP Shamsul Haque, who was martyred during 1971. The "Hothat Brishti" actor is currently busy shooting for his scenes in Chattogram.

"This is the first time that I will be working in a movie based on true events. It is such a great honour to play the role of a valiant man who sacrificed his life in our Liberation War," mentioned Ferdous.

"I am working really hard to get into the skin of the character. SP Shamsul Haque played such an integral part in our history. His story brings tears to our eyes," added the actor.

The movie will be shot in Chattogram. Ferdous will return to Dhaka after wrapping up the shoot.

"Chattogram is one of my favourite cities. The scenic beauty of the mountains and seas draws me closer towards it. I also have a lot of good friends staying here," said Ferdous.

Meanwhile, Ferdous will be shooting for the last slot of Afzal Hossain's directorial "Maniker Lal Kakra." The production of the movie will end after two more days of shooting.
