Popular actress Pori Moni's "Mukhosh", directed by Efthakhar Suvo, is set to release on January 21. The upcoming film also stars Mosharraf Karim and Roshan, among others. At a recent press meet in Dhaka's Banani, the title track of the film was unveiled. Pori Moni spoke to The Daily Star about the film, her hopes for 2022, and more.

What do you think of the title track of "Mukhosh"?

We all want gifts from our loved ones for the New Year; the title song of "Mukhosh" is my gift to my fans and admirers. I hope people enjoy it.

Tell us a bit about your role in "Mukhosh".

I play the role of crime reporter Sohana in the film. I took inspiration from the brave journalists that I know in real life.

You have worked with Mosharraf Karim in this film. How was the experience?

All of us got along very well on the sets, from the first day. Mosharraf Karim is a great artiste without a doubt. I am no one when compared to his acting skills, but he never made me feel that way.

What are your aspirations for the New Year?

I want to exceed my own expectations this year.  That being said, it is not as if I want to land on the moon; I just want to continue doing good work, and be surrounded by people's love.

What would you consider the 'love of your life' at this moment?

I exist because there is love in this world. I cannot tell you who or what exactly this 'love' is, but the truth is, there is no life without love.
