IFB also asks for EC formation law

President Abdul Hamid yesterday said he will take measures to ensure a free, fair and credible national election at a dialogue with Islamic Front Bangladesh, said Syed Bahadur Shah Mujaddedi, chairman of IFB.

At the meeting held over forming the next election commission, the party proposed the enaction of a law in line with the constitution.

A Bangladesh NAP delegation also made recommendations, echoing the need for a law for the formation of a new EC, at a separate meeting with Hamid.
