Amid a chilly morning yesterday, farmers collecting seedlings of IRRI-49 from a partially-submerged seedbed in Bara Bayra Swashanghat area of Khulna city. The seedlings were then planted in a nearby paddy field. Local farmers say they always get a better yield of this variety.
