OTT & Digital Content Awards: An effort to honour the innovators

To further develop the entertainment industry and recognise creators on over-the-top (OTT) and other digital platforms, Ispahani Tea Limited and The Daily Star will organise "Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2021" - OTTDCAWARDS.

The awards aim to honour artists, content creators, and people who are contributing to the entertainment industry. Awards in 37 categories have been arranged.

Mahfuz Anam, editor and publisher of The Daily Star, and Mirza Salman Ispahani, chairperson of MM Ispahani Limited, signed an MoU in this regard on behalf of their organisations yesterday at The Daily Star Centre.

The event was held in presence of Omar Hannan, general manager, sales and distribution at Ispahani Tea Ltd; SM Didarul Hasan, deputy general manager, marketing, Ispahani Tea Ltd.

The Daily Star Head of Operations and CFO Mizanur Rahman, GM Business Development Sher Ali, Head of Sales Amit Pramanik, Assistant Manager (Sales) Ahsan Mahmud, and Head of Business Shuvashish Roy were also present.

Shuvashish, in his introductory remark, said, "We have jointly come up with this idea to applaud the ones who have the courage to break away from traditionalism and contribute to new causes through innovation."

SM Didarul Hasan noted that even though the project highlights OTT, it will encompass all positive aspects of digital media.

Mirza Salman Ispahani noted that he is excited by the project, and looks forward to collaborating on more intriguing ventures in the future.

"I am extremely happy to be signing with Ispahani, as the name has established a legacy that was built upon trust and quality," shared Mahfuz Anam. "It invokes a lot of memories, and we hope that this partnership delivers to its fullest."
