Shakib likely to return to the country tomorrow
Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is likely to fly back home tomorrow after playing the third and final ODI against South Africa in Centurion today.
"So far, it has been decided that Shakib will fly for home tomorrow. He may join the team for the second Test but everything will be dependent on his family's health condition," Jalal Yunus, the Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) cricket operations committee chairman, told The Daily Star over phone from South Africa today.
BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury also informed that they have made all the arrangement for Shakib's return tomorrow.
The first Test will start from March 31 in Durban and the second and final Test will take place in Port Elizabeth from April 7.
Doubts had surfaces regarding Shakib's availability for today's third ODI but the all-rounder ultimately decided to play the series-deciding ODI.
Shakib's mother is admitted in a city hospital while his two of his youngest children are suffering from pneumonia.
